We welcome volunteers to our office in Durham, NC to help with a wide variety of regular and special projects and tasks. Volunteers can come as often as they like and can help with any of the items listed below. We can use your friendly face in our reception area to greet visitor and guests, and to help answer phones. Throughout the year, we send multiple teams to Haiti with bags of supplies; we need help packing these bags prior to each of the trips. We also need help organizing and making inventories of the supplies that are donated to FHM.

BULK MAIL

Several times each year we publish newsletters and other literature that we have to prepare, stuff, fold, stamp and label to be able to mail. This usually takes between 6 and 10 volunteers to complete.

• Speaking on behalf of FHM at organized meetings
• Networking with professional and church organizations
• Grant writing and fund raising
