| Members of the Duke Men's Bible Study Group safely landed in Port-au-Prince on Thursday, December 1, 2011. As always, Missy Owen, FHM's in-country manager met the eager group at the airport and shuttled them to Leogane to meet with Dr. Delson Merisier and settle in for the night at Hopital St Croix. On Friday, the team drove to Fondwa to deliver four, full team bags of toys, clothing, snacks and treats to the Fondwa orphange. |
The items sent to Fondwa came from a number of sponsor families from around the United States, as well as the law firm of Blank Rome, LLC in Washington, DC. For a number of years, the Blank Rome employees have collected and sent items for the children during the holidays. We thank the Duke Men's Bible Study Group and Blank Rome for making the Fondwa children's Christmas a little brighter.
